How Long Does Upper Eyelid Aesthetics Take?

Upper eyelid surgery takes an average of 15 minutes for one lid. Patients are discharged on the same day after surgery. If brow lift, ptosis surgery, almond eye or lower eyelid aesthetics will also be performed, the operation time may be longer.

How is the Recovery Process After Upper Eyelid Aesthetics?

It is usually not necessary to keep the eyes closed up or bandage them after upper eyelid surgery. After upper eyelid aesthetics, edema and redness around your eyes disappear in an average of 1 week. Your stitches are removed at your follow-up visit one week later. It is important for the patient to rest, lie slightly upright and apply ice especially in the first 2 days. But you can return to your daily activities and desk work from the first day.  At the end of the first week, you will feel well enough to engage in your normal activities, but you should avoid heavy exercise and activities for 3 to 4 weeks.
